Last time we visited the Batista clan, they hosted family friend Ashley's birthday. They only hosted it because Bort got an invitation to her party and the party notification came up after I said yes. I wonder if that's a common thing with Sims 4.
It's also Bort's birthday, so the family celebrated after their friends left. Bort hated huge parties, so just having the family around was all he wanted. Here is his last moment as an adult. . .
. . .and his first as an elder! Bethany was the only one in the room to celebrate.
Here is Bort's first painting as an elder. Sims really do create some really unique and unusual paintings.
Here is his second. I love Sim paintings.
Bort painted the picture and Bethany decided to paint the same. Of all the realism paintings she could've done, she did the same one as Bort! Like brother, like sister.
Bort aged so nicely! He looks like a mini Alec with a small amount of Jordan mixed in there. These Sims are beautiful. Bort and Bethany are NOT on the gallery, but Alec is (his name was originally Jordan Batista, but I changed it to Alec in gameplay. Jordan is a Sim I got from the Gallery.) This is before I went into CAS and made him not look like Alec has been brought back from the dead.
The washer was being fixed, so Bethany ventured outside to do laundry. It would've been more comfortable if she had her summer outfit on, but she does what she wants. Bethany is still an adult here.
Bethany wanted the easels in her room, so they moved two of them. She wanted to do it so she could paint as soon as she woke up or right before she went to bed. It's pretty convenient that way.
Fitness addicts and elders Ian and Bort wanted to maintain their lean, muscular physiques even in their old age. The only issue with elders who workout is they get Very Uncomforable (+40 as opposed to +1 or +2 like most moodlets). That will happen regardless of your elder Sims' fitness levels. Ian has mastered it, while Bort is on level 6 at this time.
Cousins and generation C heirs Chad (child) and Cassidy (teen) decided to do some bonding in the typical Batista way: cloudgazing. I did mention this earlier, but cloudgazing is an interaction from the Outdoor Retreat game pack.
Afro and Bort share a loving and tender moment just a little while before Afro passes away from old age. Longevity is a defining trait in the Batista family. Maybe future generations won't be so lucky? Who knows? Anything can happen when new Sims and worlds get thrown in the mix.
Oh, Bort. Everything will be okay. We promise. He's using his tears and mourning to water his beautiful new money tree. This will help the future generations a lot. He went and mourned over his parents and friend.
Bort is proud of his newest original painting. He calls it "Spring Rain Seeds." He always liked to name his paintings.
Cassidy got in an early morning workout. After she was done, she bonded some more with her cousin Chad over breakfast. She's having cereal while he's having a sandwich.
Cassidy decided to take up painting to carry on the Batista tradition. This one looks good, and she hopes to be as good as her dad and aunt Bethany.
That wraps up this lovely trip to Newcrest! All of Gen B are elders, which means a few more parts until Cassidy and Chad (aka Gen C) take over! :)
