2019 has been in insane year, both good and bad! I really wanted to make a separate post about where each of my Sims saves has gotten over the past 10 1/2 months or so. I can't believe it's been so long since I started this blog. Thank you so much to everyone who has read one or all of my posts. I appreciate every visit to this page and I started it because I wanted to share my Sims' lives and stories with the world!
I also enjoy sharing the homes my Sims live in and the lots they frequently visit. Remember, every Sim and build I make is uploaded on the Sims 4 Gallery. My Gallery name is PhilliesPOPster5, hence the name of this blog! :) I do not use any custom content or mods. I only use what the SimGurus put in each pack. There are some builds where I use the MoveObjects cheat and I always specify which builds use this.
CAMILA MOLINA, SHADOW, CHESTER, KITTY - Brindleton Bay
Camila has come such a long way since February. She went from literally ZERO Simoleons to pushing for a true mansion in beautiful Brindleton Bay! She completed the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration, where she got her home redone when she reached each level of the aspiration. She is now halfway through the Mansion Baron aspiration, where she will continue to build her wealth and her beautiful home.
Along the way she befriended a lot of the neighborhood stray cats, including the lovely Mayor Whiskers. Although the first cat she adopted was Shadow, who came from the Brindleton Bay Animal Shelter. Her best feline friend was Chester, who glitched every time Camila went to adopt her. Fortunately Camila was eventually able to adopt Chester and Chester was able to join the Molina family. She waited a long time until she decided to adopt another cat. About a Sim year went by before Camila decided to adopt Kitty, a black cat who was formerly a stray.
As of now Camila is single, but after she completes the Mansion Baron aspiration, she may settle down and look for a mate. If he has a job, he will be the only one working in the household, but she will continue to make money by painting, selling harvestables, and other methods Camila has used to get where she is now.
BATISTA FAMILY - Newcrest
This is one of my favorite families to play. Alec is in the Gallery under Jordan because that was his original name; I decided to change it when I decided to do the A to Z Legacy Challenge instead of just a legacy. I did cheat a little by finding his wife Jordan on the Gallery because none of the townies really appealed to me. He made his family home on the 50X40 lot in scenic Newcrest and joined the Entertainer career. She was in the Culinary career. Alec retired shortly before he passed away, while Jordan worked until she passed. They had two beautiful children, Bort and Bethany.
Bort was a great toddler and child. He really wanted to get into art like his parents. Alec and Jordan made painting the great Batista pasttime. I decided to switch things up by making every other generation have jobs, so Bort and Bethany did not have career jobs. They made their money by harvesting collectables and painting, just like Camila. Afro, aka Bryanna Crane (if you're familiar with James Turner's Rags to Riches series, she's a major character in that LP), married Bort and was a Detective until she eventually died of old age. They had a beautiful daughter named Cassidy Batista. Bort's younger sister Bethany originally wanted to marry librarian Jeremy, but he was a jerk. So she quickly moved on and fell immediately in love with Ian, the trainer at the gym in Willow Creek. They had a handsome son named Chad. (If you're familiar with HollieBB and her Twitch streams, you'll recognize Chad as sort of a channel meme.)
When Bort, Afro, Bethany and Ian passed away from old age, it was Chad and Cassidy's turn. Cassidy is in the Athletic career, while her cousin Chad is still a teen as of now. When he ages up we shall see what career he enters. So far we have only played with Chad and Cassidy for short time, but we will continue to play them and see how far into the Batista legacy we can get in 2020.
BERRY FAMILY - Oasis Springs
We started the Not So Berry Challenge with Mitchell Berry, a Scientist with a huge mischievous side and lived in Oasis Springs. He had always been a huge fan of warm, dry weather, so that's why he chose Oasis Springs. He fell in love with Nina Caliente, the flirty girl who lived next door with her mother Katrina, sister Dina and friend Don Lothario (if anyone knows Don's relation to the Calientes, please let me know!) They had a handsome son named Ross, who is the heir of the Berry family. Mitchell made it to level 9 of the Scientist career, so he didn't complete the requirements. But rather than quit and try again, I decided to do my best the first time then maybe run through it again trying to perfect everything. But before he passed away, he was able to move to another beautiful home in Oasis Springs. I love the current Berry home because it's larger and I like the layout more than the other one.
When Mitchell and Nina died, it was all up to Ross. This save has taken me so long to play because it's so much different than I normally play. I'll be honest, I've debated quitting this challenge numerous times in the past, but I've been pushing through. I'm glad I haven't quit because Ross is becoming a great Sim to play. He's currently on level 3 in the Business career and he's still a Young Adult.
ALDO JANSEN AND HARMONY RAINIER - Strangerville
When the Strangerville game pack came out in February, I knew I had to have it and add it to my list of saves on the blog. Harmony and Aldo originally started as friends and co-workers who wanted to solve the Strangerville Mystery together. As I started to go through the Mystery, I realized it was difficult if not impossible for two Sims to solve the Mystery. I wish there was a way for two Sims to do it though. That's when Aldo decided to become a bodybuilder rather than solve the mystery.
Unfortunately Harmony was unable to defeat the Mother Plant and she died while fighting it. Aldo gave himself time to mourn, but now he's ready to honor Harmony and defeat the Mother in her memory. Aldo is still going to finish his bodybuilder aspiration, then he's going to defeat the Mother. We shall see what happens because Harmony was so close to finishing it.
WHAT IS NEXT FOR THE SIMS?
For Camila and the kitties, they'll finish the Mansion Baron Aspiration and then work on settling down and finding a man. I've been inspired by James to do a mini Legacy/Rags to Riches with her family. I may try to do one in every world. Keep an eye here and my Twitter to see what Camila's options will be in the future.
Chad and Cassidy plan on getting as far as they can in their careers and find love along the way. I want to try to get them married as young adults because I realize both parents can't die until their oldest child is at least a teen, if not a young adult. I have generation D names picked out, but I won't mention them until the D generation is born. I'm hoping to keep the heirs to a male and a female but I know at least a few will be the same. We shall see how far I get in this. Realistically, I want to get to the E or F generation. I would love to make it to H but I don't think that's realistic for the Batistas.
My goal with Ross is complete the Serial Romantic Aspiration as quickly as possible. He currently has a girlfriend named Brooklynn, who may or may not have his child. I'm still debating between her and Scarlet (his teenage crush). My goal for the Berry family is to get to Generation 5. Remember here are the Not So Berry Rules, and here are the Base Game Rules for those who don't own all the packs like me.
As for Aldo, I want him to work on getting to the top of the Military career. Then he will go to the Athletic Career, while I'm not sure what aspiration he'll have after Strangerville. I eventually want him to get married and have at least one child. I will renovate his home to accommodate for kids and maybe get rid of most if not all the Strangerville things in their basement.

Strangerville Part Sixteen (contains Mystery spoilers! Finale Part 2/2??)
If you missed last Wednesday's post about Strangerville, I decided to break the finale in half. I was out of town for 8 days and was unable to get the pictures from my desktop in time to leave, so I decided to make this a two-parter. I apologize for this going up so late. Since I got back from New Jersey last Saturday (December 28th), I've been crazy busy with errands and such.
When we last saw Aldo and Harmony, Harmony was really close to solving the mystery. She needed to cure one more Sim and recruit two more Sims to help her defeat The Mother. Meanwhile Aldo is well on his way to finishing the Fitness aspiration and being the fittest Sim in all of Strangerville.
Harmony was spending some time in town trying to figure out her next move. She still needs two Sims to help her defeat the Mother. So far she has Ted to help her. She cured Bruno and Amir, but her relationship is not good enough to recruit them.
Happy Spooky Day! Harmony is going as a Pizza Delivery person. Also I had to switch from a bath/shower combo to individual showers and tubs. They were glitched; every time Harmony or Aldo would take a bath or shower their hygiene would stay the same and even go down rather than go up. So if you have shower/tub combos, I recommend taking them out and replacing them.
Harmony met a coworker who was infected. This is Shirley, the third Sim Harmony cured from the infection.
After curing her of the infection, Shirley and Harmony went cloudgazing before the sun went down.
Harmony was painting pet food while Aldo was in the shower. Is that a sign, Harmony? We shall see. Also I had to replace their shower/tub combos with individual showers and tubs because they were glitched. They would go to take a shower and their hygiene would stay the same and even go down rather than go up. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
Harmony wanted to try to recruit more Sims to help her, so she decided to head back to the lab to make more. But before she went she needed another Bizarre Fruit.
When she got home, she found possessed Antony. I just realized his name is Antony and not Anthony so I apologize for any townie confusion. But the vaccine worked and he is cured!
Antony and Harmony went cloudgazing after he was cured. Harmony knew she wanted him on her team, so she had to work hard to recruit him. Although it's hard to clougaze when there are no clouds in the sky. Instead there is smog coming from the Lab.
After Harmony and Antony's first cloudgaze, Harmony had to work. Clement Frost (aka Father Winter) asked Aldo if he could come over and he said yes. They decided to do yoga together. Aldo was tense because of the vines in the plumbing, while I have no idea what Clement was tense about.
In hopes of recruiting him to her team, Harmony had Bruno come over. Unfortunately he was cured too long ago for her to recruit him to her team. Which is partially why she had to create another vaccine for Antony. At least she's gaining a friend though.
If you're not familiar with this face, this is Baby Yoda from the Disney Plus Star Wars show The Mandalorian. I have not seen it yet but I've heard nothing but great things about it. Also all the Baby Yoda memes are adorable and some are so relatable.
It's fall in Strangerville, but that didn't stop Clement Frost from wearing his Santa coat in the house. This is a different day than the one above.
The next afternoon Harmony invited Antony over to try to befriend him. She was successful in recruiting him to her Mother Defeating Team. That's what she calls it.
Here's the team getting ready to enter the Lab. Will they defeat the Mother and rid Strangerville of its awful infection? Let's hope so!
Here it is: The Mother Plant. The source of Strangerville's awful infection that causes Sims to walk and talk like zombies.
Uh oh. UH. OH. This can't be good. Harmony and her team are working hard to defeat the Mother. She gets taken by the Mother and it tries to eat her.
Unfortunately she was unable to escape its clutches and the Mother plant ate her.
I had Aldo come to the Lab after she died to scream at the Mother for taking away his best friend and future wife. "I will have my revenge. Hear that? I WILL HAVE IT." He yelled tearfully.
Aldo walks away from the Mother undefeated. How will he go on without Harmony? He is allowing himself some time to mourn his best friend and future life partner.
I didn't have any pictures of Aldo after the above scene, but he made some coffee then went home. On the way he came up with a plan to honor Harmony while completing his Fitness aspiration and then her Strangerville one. He will defeat the Mother plant once and for all! Go Aldo!
Well, this did not end the way I planned. My other Sim who solved the Mystery had no problem doing so (it was another save and Sim; she's on the gallery under Brenna Vega). Well, we shall see what Aldo does in 2020! Will he find love? Will he defeat the Mother and finish his aspirations? We shall see.
This evening I will have another extra post to go over everything that's happened since I started this blog and what *MAY* happen in 2020. I say may because I plan on buying more packs and seeing where each Sim family goes from where they are right now. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and has had safe travels over the last couple weeks!

Strangerville Part Fifteen (contains Strangerville Mystery spoilers! Finale Part 1/2)
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone has an amazing day! Since it's the end of the year and I'm out of town (and away from my desktop where all my Strangerville pictures are), I wanted to do something a little different over the next week.
Today we will NOT be solving the Strangerville Mystery. Instead we will solve it Monday, December 30th. Then on New Year's Eve (Tuesday, December 31st) I want to do a "Year In Review" post where I go over what the Sims have been up to this far and what their tentative plans are for 2020. Finally, on New Year's Day (Wednesday, January 1st) we will resume weekly posts on Wednesdays starting with Camila and her kitties chasing the Mansion Baron aspiration. Now it's time to see how Harmony and Aldo are doing while being so close to solving the mystery.
Harmony had a stressful day at work, so she wanted a nice bubble bath. There isn't much a relaxing, warm bath won't solve.
She's either tense about the plant vines in the sink or the dirty dish that never made its way to the dishwasher. "Ugh, Aldo. It's Friday! The maid won't be here until Monday!" She yelled, but Aldo didn't hear her.
Harmony loves watching sports. Soccer is her favorite, but basketball will do. Any sport will fill the Fun need.
Meanwhile, Aldo is Trolling Teh Forums. He loves trolling people. It's his way of unwinding after a long work week.
Then he decided to get in a good workout. He loves working out. Self care Saturday.
Aldo ventured to the bar then remembered the Curio shop was nearby. He had some Strangerville evidence Harmony didn't need so he wanted to sell it. What little bit he had that he could sell was worth 10 Simoleons.

Aldo got home and Harmony was awake. She was getting in a nice run on the treadmill.
Robi came over as well. When Harmony was done her run, they told jokes and chatted for a little bit.
Aldo was once again Trolling Teh Forums. He really likes it. A lot.
Aldo was running on the treadmill when he got a spark of inspiration. What his idea is, I don't know. Sims are very interesting when they want to be.
Also, someone left a random plate of fish tacos on the floor. I bet it was Harmony because she was eating them and talking to Robi before she went to work.
Harmony plans on solving the Strangerville Mystery on her next day off, which is in a couple Sim days. As I mentioned in the beginning of today's post, we will be finishing the Mystery on Monday, then going over what happened in 2019 and what may happen in 2020, then on Wednesday we are resuming with our normal Wednesday posts. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and safe travels if you are traveling to visit family and/or friends!!

Not So Berry Rose Gen Part Two
Last time we visited Ross in Oasis Springs, he held the annual Berry Winterfest party and invited his friends!
Yesterday my cousin and I went to Miami for her America's Got Talent audition! I'm really happy for her because I didn't realize how talented she really was until we started going to karaoke together a couple months ago! I'm also leaving for New Jersey this week for Christmas! WOOO! Every year we go up for the family Christmas party and the last couple years we've spent Christmas up there! I'm really excited to see my friends and family back home :)
When Ross got home, he was eating his dinner when Brooklynn asked him out on a date to the Rattlesnake Juice Bar. Of course Ross said yes! When they arrived, they were facing the opposite direction. Does this happen to anyone else's Sims?
They sat on the bench and talked. Then the talking led to kissing.
Then the kissing turned into a makeout session. Ross and Brooklynn are really into each other.
The way they look at each other after a nice kiss and makeout session is so cute <3
After they kissed a few more times, they decided to move and talk. Their romance is better than their friendship, so they're getting to know each other a little better. Although there are times like this that I really miss Mrs. Crumplebottom from the Sims 2. She would beat your Sim up with her purse if she saw you even holding hands with another Sim. What a gem.
The date went amazing! Ross is seriously in love. He is a serial romantic, but we will find a way to keep Brooklynn. She is wife material.
The next morning he took a bubble bath before work. Even as an adult you need to have fun somehow.
He had a longish day at work. His fun was low so he decided to watch the News. He wasn't bored after watching it, so I think that may be his go-to channel.
Brooklynn came over! Ross greeted her with a sweet kiss on the cheek. She liked it.
Ross realized the shower downstairs was broken (again! Thanks, ghost of Nina Caliente-Berry). He fixed it before the mess got too out of hand.
When he got upstairs, he had thought of the perfect question to ask Brooklynn.
Ross asked Brooklynn to be his girlfriend, and she said YES! Yay Ross! She is your first girlfriend! This is the first time any of my Sims will have more than one significant other, so this will be fun. We'll try not to break up with her because he wants to marry her. Sorry, Ross. We have other plans for you until you can do that.
Brooklynn and Ross were chatting when Ross remembered someone else was at the house. That someone was Zander and he came over before Brooklynn.
Brooklynn went to sit on the couch, so Zander came over to talk to Ross. He seems like a pretty cool dude. I think Ross will become friends with him.
Ross got some leftovers and joined Brooklynn on the couch. They enjoy listening to music and watching TV while having a great conversation.
The next morning, Ross' hot headed trait made him wake up on the wrong side of the bed (even though he slept on the same side he always does. We'll see what he gets up to later.
That wraps up the final trip to Oasis Springs in 2019! We'll continue Ross' story and see who our yellow gen heir will be. If you're traveling this week, please be safe! He had a longish day at work. His fun was low so he decided to watch the News. He wasn't bored after watching it, so I think that may be his go-to channel.
Brooklynn came over! Ross greeted her with a sweet kiss on the cheek. She liked it.
Ross realized the shower downstairs was broken (again! Thanks, ghost of Nina Caliente-Berry). He fixed it before the mess got too out of hand.
When he got upstairs, he had thought of the perfect question to ask Brooklynn.
Ross asked Brooklynn to be his girlfriend, and she said YES! Yay Ross! She is your first girlfriend! This is the first time any of my Sims will have more than one significant other, so this will be fun. We'll try not to break up with her because he wants to marry her. Sorry, Ross. We have other plans for you until you can do that.
Brooklynn and Ross were chatting when Ross remembered someone else was at the house. That someone was Zander and he came over before Brooklynn.
Brooklynn went to sit on the couch, so Zander came over to talk to Ross. He seems like a pretty cool dude. I think Ross will become friends with him.
Ross got some leftovers and joined Brooklynn on the couch. They enjoy listening to music and watching TV while having a great conversation.
The next morning, Ross' hot headed trait made him wake up on the wrong side of the bed (even though he slept on the same side he always does. We'll see what he gets up to later.
That wraps up the final trip to Oasis Springs in 2019! We'll continue Ross' story and see who our yellow gen heir will be. If you're traveling this week, please be safe!
