Not So Berry Mint Gen Part 1

I decided to do the Not So Berry Challenge because I was looking for another fun legacy challenge. It is a lot different than I play Sims, so it's definitely been a challenge. For one thing, most of my Sims tend to be nice so it's hard making a Sim be mean to others who I know are nice Sims. Except Eliza Pancakes and Nancy Landgraab. It's easy to be mean to them.I need to play it more to be quite honest. I'm still on the Mint generation (gen 1), while the Batistas are almost on generation 3! I chose the last name Berry for my Sims (so original right? Right.) The first couple parts won't have a ton of pictures, but I plan on getting more screenshots as I play more! In case you didn't read the post where I listed my current challenges, here is the link with the rules for each generation! It was created by lilsimsie and alwayssimming!
http://lilsimsie.tumblr.com/post/157671494755/not-so-berry-legacy-challenge

This is Mitchell Berry, who moved to Oasis Springs to pursue a Scientist career. He's pretty mischievous, so you have to keep an eye on him! He loves plants, so he spends a lot of time harvesting the local plant scene as well as take care of his own plants. As he's gotten older, he's gotten sassier and more mischievous! He tried making dinner after his first day of work and unfortunately caught himself on fire! Mitchell learned to shower and  change before using a gas grill or stove!

He needed some fun, but didn't know many Sims since he was new to town. He was too tired to go to the club, plus he had work the next day, so he turned his kitchen into a dance floor! He does this a lot actually.

Mitchell has always been a fan of bonfires, so he had to get a fire pit for his future friends, spouse and family!

Mitchell met and instantly bonded with neighbor Nina Caliente. They became great friends, but he wanted to take the next step. It took her a while to warm up to him, but she eventually did. They did a lot of cloudgazing, which is great with Oasis Spring's sunny weather.

Mitchell was exhausted after one day at work, so he asked Nina to harvest some plants. She wasn't exactly happy because she missed her afternoon nap.

Nina eventually opened up to Mitchell, letting her know the feeling was mutual. She started falling for him. Maybe it was his gorgeous house. Maybe it was his luscious mint hair. Maybe it was his mischievousness? Who knows?

When he felt the time was right, Mitchell took a big chance and kissed Nina!! She did enjoy it and kissed him right back! Their romance is working really nicely!

That will wrap up part one of the Not So Berry Mint generation! I'm not sure how many parts we'll have with Mitchell and Nina since I'm still playing with them, so keep en eye out for them! You'll see a post with them at least once a month! Maybe more depending on if I decide to post more than once a week!

A to Z Batista Legacy Challenge Gen A Part 1

At first I was wanting to post twice a week but since I don't have as much content in some saves as others, I ultimately decided on once a week for the time being. I'll do my best to stick to Wednesdays, but I may have to push some posts back a day or two. So far Wednesday seems like the best option! I also plan on having mostly challenge content, with some other random saves included as well! I may do my Simself Dream Life sometime in the future too! I have some content there and may do what I plan on doing with Rags to Riches (refer to my first Rags to Riches post!)

The last few weeks I've been OBSESSED with my Legacy family, the Batista's! They're so much fun to play and the legacy challenge is so much different than the way I usually play Sims. I'm currently on Gen C, and hope to have at least one Gen D baby born by the end of next week! I have a lot of screenshots, so expect quite a few posts from each generation!

I started with a male Founder, Jordan Batista, who I renamed Alec when I decided to go from a 10 generation legacy to the Alphabet Legacy, or A to Z Legacy. I am doing it a little different, as you'll see as the story goes on. Most legacies follow one heir, while I am following two heirs, who you'll meet in the next couple parts

The story starts when young adult Alec Batista moves to Newcrest. He always loved music, so he gets a job in the Entertainer career, so he has to build his musical talents and skills. His hobbies include painting and harvesting plants, so Alec did those to earn extra money to build up his home. He had a great daily routine of work, harvesting and painting, with taking care of his needs somewhere in the mix.

When Mixologist Jordan McCain moves to town, Alec falls in love immediately. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, but it took a while for her to feel the same way.

It took a lot of cloudgazing for Alec and Jordan's relationship to increase, and eventually Alec's flirtatious personality got to Jordan. He was a really romantic Sim who would rather have one great partner than numerous mediocre ones.

Alec had dreamed of being married before he aged up to an adult, but life had slightly different plans. He aged up to an adult, but he was in a relationship with Jordan. The couple was very happy together and regularly had "us time," even with their sometimes conflicting work schedules.

Alec had planned to wait until marriage to woohoo for the first time, but with Jordan he couldn't contain himself. He loved it, as did Jordan! Their romance was on fire and no one could stop them! Right after that great woohoo, Alec proposed to Jordan. She said YES!

They got married shortly after being engaged. The wedding venue was in beautifully scenic Brindleton Bay at a park near the Vet clinic. Alec and Jordan's closest friends attended the beautiful ceremony, where the two lovers exchanged vows and Jordan officially became a Batista!

When Alec and Jordan returned home from the wedding, they had to try for a baby! They didn't care if it was a boy or girl; they just knew they wanted children and a successful family! They didn't believe in honeymoons, so they spent the next couple days relaxing at home.

Jordan loved to paint the outdoors and did plenty of it with Alec's help! Here she is painting a beautiful landscape in her first trimester.

Alec was reading a dramatic scene from his favorite book, Gentleman Corgi, while Jordan looked up reputable nannies for the baby when he or she came!

Jordan loved being outdoors, so she took every opportunity that she could harvesting local plants and digging up capsules to earn extra money for the baby.

Since Jordan was on maternity leave at work, she painted a lot with Alec to make as much money as they could before the baby came. Alec's skill was almost maxed, so his paintings were worth quite a bit.

Will baby Batista be a boy or a girl? Will there be one baby? Twins? Triplets? Find out in part two of the Batista Legacy Gen A!

Rags to Riches Stages 1 and 2

I ran a poll on Twitter the other day to see which challenge I should post about first, and Rags to Riches won! I tweet a lot about Sims, dogs, and other various life things so if you like that, go ahead and follow me!
https://www.twitter.com/Tessaundra

After watching James, aka The Sim Supply, and his Get to Work Rags to Riches series, I decided to try it myself. I don't have a ton of screenshots from early in the save, but as the story progresses, I have more pictures. I highly recommend watching James (or Semaj for those who have been watching for a while) on YouTube if you want some great Sims content! He has LP's (Let's Plays) from all four Sims games, and maybe the spin-offs as well! I've been really invested in the Bigwallet family the last year or so! I'm currently on like Part 19 of his Cats & Dogs Rags to Riches!
https://www.youtube.com/user/TheSimSupply

My Rags to Riches Sim is named Camila Molina. She grew up well and moved to scenic Brindleton Bay when she became a young adult. She loves painting, working out and cats. She adores cats! Within hours of moving to Brindleton Bay, she met Mayor Whiskers, who happens to be the actual mayor!

The day after she met Mayor Whiskers, she met Chester and other neighborhood strays. Camila and Chester quickly bonded and became friends thanks to Camila's laser pointer!

After a few days of harvesting various plants around her home and digging up capsules and fossils, Camila was finally able to buy an easel to paint, and eventually painted and harvested her way to a "home." As Camila once said, "it's not much but it's home." At least that's what I think her Simlish translated to. She could've said the bed was uncomfortable.

There are cat items near where Camila is standing in the second photo because I was thinking cats could eat the food. I learned they couldn't so I tried to see if I could adopt Chester. For the longest time when I'd go to adopt her, either Camila or Chester would glitch. End Stage One.

I only have pictures of Camila's house after she finishes Stage Two of her Aspiration. They were also taken at night after I redid her house. Her favorite color is clearly red, so that is incorporated in every room without being too extra.

The story is still the same as Stage One, where she befriends the neighborhood stray cats and glitches when she tries to adopt Chester. I didn't try to adopt any other cats during that time. At this point, Camila has almost mastered the painting skill. She is slowly working her way through the Gardening skill as well. She bought a violin and has been working on her skill there as well.

That's about it for Stages One and Two of Rags to Riches! I decided to break this series into stages because it can go with the Fortune Aspiration Camila currently has. When she finishes that one, I think I may do something similar to James. I am thinking about doing a Rags to Riches in every world, plus have at least one Veternarian Office and one Retail Store. I have a lot of pictures from Stage Three, so that will be longer than the first two stages.

Current Sims 4 Challenges-AS OF FEBRUARY 11, 2019

If you read my last post, hopefully you have because it's fairly short, I currently have four Sims 4 challenges going on at different levels of completeness: A to Z Legacy, Not So Berry Legacy, Rags to Riches and a save where we complete the Strangerville Mystery.

A to Z Legacy (also known as the Alphabet Legacy)
This has been my recent obsession. I'm currently between the 2nd and 3rd generations (B and C). Gen B is getting older (adults/elders) and my Gen C heirs are children. I am doing this differently than most. My Gen A and his wife had two children, so I will following both of their families. In the event of twins or triplets, I will do a poll on twitter to see who becomes heir. Whoever is NOT heir will be moved into another house (world will also be polled on Twitter).

Not So Berry Challenge
This one has been pretty difficult for me, mainly because I don't like having mean Sims. I'm still on Gen 1 (mint) but my Gen 2 (rose) is a toddler. I also don't own all of the Sims 4 packs (the list is in the previous post). This was founded by one of my favorite Sims 4 content creators, Kayla from lilsimsie, and her friend Zoe from alwayssimming!

Rags to Riches
I couldn't find a link to the actual rules, but James, aka the Sim Supply, explains it pretty well in part one of his Get to Work Rags to Riches LP. I recommend watching all of the Bigwallets because they are pretty entertaining. I'm currently on like part 19 of his Cats and Dogs LP. I am not doing any specific thing but my Sim mostly paints and finds harvestables around her home in Brindleton Bay.

*UPDATED AND ADDED 11-12-2020*
Strangerville
The newest (as of February 2019) Game Pack shows us the world of Strangerville, which is plagued by a Mother Plant. All around the world there are purple colored plants called Bizarre Plants. When their fruits are eaten, the Sim who eats them becomes Possessed and runs erratically for about two hours. Their needs are completely filled and they can start saying gibberish (more than normal Simlish). We will follow two Sims who will try to defeat the Mother Plant and return Strangerville to its original beauty.

Brief Intro and Blog Intention

Hello I'm Tess, known on gaming-related platforms as PhilliesPOPster5 and Twitch as HuffleclawBookie. I started this blog like 6 years ago and never kept up with it, so it's getting a facelift. I love playing all sorts of games, especially Sims (4 has been my recent obsession), truck simulator (I have been obsessed with the 18 Wheels of Steel series by SCS since around 2006), and Warframe. Most of the content you'll see on this blog will be from the Sims 4, where I have an array of challenges I'm playing through. I would love to eventually do LP's (let's plays) on YouTube and Twitch, but for now I'll post screenshots here. In the next post, I'll explain rules and provide links for all the challenges I will be posting about and if I start a new one, I'll provide a link to that as well!
