Rags to Riches: Mansion Baron Part Three

Last time we visited Brindleton Bay, not a lot happened. Camila and was working on painting more masterpieces so she could bring her home value over 200,000 Simoleons. Right now she's around 176,000. Unfortunately when she sells things in her inventory (like harvestables or parts she'll never use) the home value goes down. I hate that.

Today we're starting off with Kitty and Chester playing on the kitchen island while Shadow takes a nap. Shadow will sleep anywhere. 

Ooh this is a masterpiece! This one is worth over 5000 Simoleons! She's reached 10,000 before she we'll see if she does it again and what the painting is.

After her masterpiece she was feeling inspired, so Camila decided to serenade the kitties with a song on her violin. She's a level 7, so she's pretty close to mastering it. Shadow was the first to join the crowd.

Then Shadow jumped down, leaving room for Chester to stand on the mini cat tree. Kitty heard the music so she thought she'd see what was going on.

She painted another 4000 Simoleon masterpiece!

Once she starts painting there isn't much that stops her. Plus it's Saturday and the bills will be coming Monday. She doesn't want her power to get shut off.

This painting reminds me of Big Weld from the 2005 movie Robots. Does anyone else feel the same? This is also a masterpiece!

Camila's friend Easton Fitzpatrick came over to hang out. She doesn't have that many human friends (she's friends with Easton, Alexander Goth, Clement Frost, Annika Whitt, and the vet. The rest are cats).

She had extra money after paying the bills, so she decided to get a piano and a guitar. She wants to learn as much as she can. Also she had plenty of reward points, so I got her another trait. Camila is my first ever Sim to have 12 traits! You read that right; she has 12 traits! 3 are from creating her, one is for her aspiration, one is for completing her first aspiration, and the rest I bought with her reward points.

Oh no! Chester is running away again! Kitty wanders off from time to time, but Chester and Shadow run away for days at a time, leaving Camila sad until they come home.

She's eating a sad meal now. Poor Camila. Chester will come home soon. She always does.

Kitty brought Camila back a present from her travels to wherever she visits. This is the first time she's done this since Camila got her.

 As a reward for being a great cat and bringing Camila a present, she decided to start a Simstagram for Kitty. So far she has 11 followers. Here are the pictures Camila took of Kitty.

That will wrap up today's trip to Brindleton Bay! Camila's home is now worth almost 180,000 Simoleons! We'll see how quickly she makes it to 200,000 then she'll be 3/4 done! Strangerville Part Seventeen

I apologize for this post being a little late. The past week has been crazy busy and I haven't had a chance to get anything from Strangerville.
Our last trip to Strangerville ended a lot differently than I planned. Instead of Harmony solving the Mystery and freeing Strangerville of its awful infection, she died from being eaten by the Mother Plant. Harmony was a fearless Officer in the Military career and she was at level 8. I'm honestly surprised she died. I was not expecting the Mother Plant to actually eat her. Also I didn't see the Grim Reaper, which is unusual for the Sims. I did find her urn and put it in Aldo's inventory. We shall see what he does. His goal at the moment is to finish his Bodybuilder aspiration, then switch back to the Strangerville Mystery. Unfortunately we will have to retrace a lot of steps because they don't transfer to other Sims in the same household. I will do my best to not repeat a lot.

Aldo had a long, rough night. Instead of sleeping like most Sims, he decides to back float a little. He says being in the water helps clear his head.

Look how ripped he is! Wow Aldo! He's currently at level 8 Fitness and he hopes to master it soon.

Aldo hates the vines in the plumbing. Since Harmony can't solve the mystery, he's gotta do it. After he finishes his bodybuilder aspiration, that is.

Working out is another one of Aldo's coping methods. He always takes time to workout regardless of his mood. Don't worry Aldo, you will have your revenge on the Mother Plant.

Aldo's friend Cassandra Goth came over. She must have heard about Harmony's passing. It's always good to see a friendly face after something tragic happens.

After their conversation, Aldo went downstairs to play MySims Go!

While Aldo was playing MySims Go! Cassandra was chatting in a chatroom. She did play Sims Forever briefly, but then went back to chatting.

This gives a new meaning to the phrase "I got your back". I'm not quite sure it's supposed to be taken that literally, Aldo and Cassandra. But you do you.

"This was Harmony's favorite book," Aldo sadly said to himself as he started reading The First Unicorn by Pete Corgi.

Aldo couldn't picture a better place to put Harmony's grave than the front yard by the flags. She was fearless and she is definitely missed.

The main goal for Aldo's promotion is to get level 6 Charisma skill. What better way than to practice your speech in the downstairs bathroom mirror?

After work Aldo's friend Andrea came over. Friends who paint together stay together. Or at least that's what she always says.

After their mini painting party Andrea watched Aldo play Sims Forever while discussing his plans for the future now that Harmony passed away.

Before she left, Andrea and Aldo were watching late night TV while Aldo was finishing his plate of leftovers.

What's this? A visit from ghost Harmony?!?! She's briefly telling Aldo what the afterlife is like before he goes to bed.

Harmony hides in her old bed and cries. She's touched Aldo hasn't gotten rid of it yet. Why would he? It's been three (maybe four) days.

That will wrap up today's trip to Strangerville. Not too much happened but I look forward to seeing what Aldo does in the future. He has to reach level 10 Fitness then he's done the Bodybuilder aspiration. After that he moves onto Strangerville, so we shall see what has to be repeated. Everything from Harmony's inventory is in the Household inventory, so I just have to move it to Aldo's and some steps may be saved. I'm not sure how this works since I've never had a Sim die so close to finishing the mystery. What do you think will happen?

Not So Berry Rose Gen Part Three

Last time we visited Ross in Oasis Springs, he went on a date with Brooklynn. She's a pretty cute Sim. He may keep her a while.  They went to the bar and had a great time. They mostly talked and kissed but now their relationship is thriving!

It's now New Year's Eve in Oasis Springs! Brooklynn and Leanna have come over to ring in the New Year with Ross! Brooklynn came over then she did a little while later. What made this really ironic is I was playing this save on New Year's Eve and rang in the New Year shortly after Ross did.

Brooklynn was getting tired, so she went home. That just leaves Ross and Leanna to ring in the New Year. And of all places to do so, they chose the basement. She was down here first and Ross joined a few minutes later.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ROSS!! He wishes Brooklynn didn't go home so she could be his New Year's kiss, but he'll try again next year.

Leanna went home, so Ross decided to go to bed. He was up late, so he was pretty tired. But instead of going up the stairs inside, he decided to go to the main floor, walk around to the backyard then go back inside and upstairs. Sims are so weird.

Hi, Mitchell! Time wasn't moving like it normally does when Ross sleeps, so I investigated. It turns out Mitchell wanted to stop by and play some chess. He doesn't visit as much as Nina unfortunately.

Ross started off the New Year by trolling teh forums. What a Berry thing to do. Mitchell loved trolling forums and I'm sure Ross has seen or heard some of the things Mitchell did when he was alive.

Ross is showing his handiness by repairing the dishwasher. He hates repairing things, but it's cheaper than replacing the broken things or calling a repairman.

Another day, another Brooklynn visit. She really does like him. I don't know if I want her to move in or not. It may make it harder for her to find out when Ross tries flirting with different Sims throughout the next few parts. Hmmm. We'll see.

They took their conversation to the chess table. Whatever they were discussing was probably easier to discuss while sitting rather than standing.

Brooklynn had some things to do at home, so she left. Again. Ross decided to dance because he enjoys it and he loves the Winter Holiday station. Same, Ross.

I forgot I had plants in this save! They're dormant because it's winter, but Ross is still taking care of them.

 I don't know who did this or when it was done but really? I hate that mad adult Sims can destroy the dollhouses. It's so frustrating that they do that.

It's the middle of the night, but Brooklynn couldn't stay away. Maybe it is best that she moves in with Ross. Hmmm.

Ooh things are getting steamy on the couch on this cold end of winter night! 

After their talk and kiss, Ross watched some TV while Brooklynn went downstairs to do some yoga. For a townie she does have cute outfits.

It's Nina's turn to get on the dance floor! She also loves the Winter Holiday station. Brooklynn just came back up from doing yoga downstairs while Ross went up to bed again.

That will wrap up this trip to Oasis Springs! It's Sunday night/Monday morning, so it's back to work for Ross. He's currently at level 4 in the Business career. So far he's doing really well professionally.

A to Z Batista Legacy Gen C Part Two

Welcome back to Newcrest for the first time in 2020! Last time we saw the Batistas, Chad and Cassidy officially took over the family legacy. Cassidy is in the Athletic career, while Chad is still a teen. He ages up soon so we'll see what career he chooses to pursue. Also it's a New Year for them because we celebrated New Year's Eve at the end of the last post. I promise it just happened that way; it's purely coincidence :D

It's a Batista family reunion in the cemetery! Bort came to see Cassidy, as did Jordan. Even though Jordan had passed away before Cassidy was born, they still managed to create a great relationship!

All the reuniting made her hungry. She made herself a ham sandwich for dinner.

Cassidy is such a heartbreaker for those Sim guys! 

Hello again, Bort. It's nice to see you again. I almost mistook you for Alec but I remember Alec had a different hairstyle.

Cassidy hates pullups, but her manager requires her to do them. They say it'll help her lift up her teammates when they do certain things. We'll see about that.

Oh, hey Alec. Nice to see you again as well. It is funny that Sim ghosts can make food, clean up and do random chores when they visit. They also tend to break things they possess, which is a pain in the neck.

Oh Bethany is here too. She's cleaning the bar. The Batistas do have a maid, but they only come on weekdays.

"It's nice of you to join me for dinner, grandpa," Cassidy said.

Cassidy had too much to drink with dinner, so now she's doing the famous Sims 4 potty dance. Does anyone else find this amusing? I find it hilarious when they do it!

The next night Cassidy decided to get a good workout in while watching the news. One of these days she'll be on Sports station for being a star athlete.

Meanwhile Chad was super stinky and super tense. He wanted to go into adulthood happy, so he had a mini debate between showering and playing Blic Block. I told him to play Blic Block, but he started to play then showered and started playing again. Sims are weird.

I forgot my Camila save wasn't the only one with the Father Winter glitch. Has anyone else ever had this? He's not part of my household, nor can my Sims ask him to leave. He just lingers in the house and uses things my Sims pay for :P

Cassidy remembered it's Chad's birthday right after her workout! Fortunately it was about 6PM, so she had time to make him a hamburger cake before he went to bed. Chad loves hamburger cakes.

Cassidy's cake is done and it looks great! Here's Chad right when he blew the candles out! I love the facial expressions Sims have in this game. They're so realistic and derpy (but they're also cartoonish)!

"Cassidy, this cake is great!" Chad remarked as he happily took the last bite. Cassidy smiled and replied, "Thanks. I'm glad I had time between my workout and your bedtime."

After having cake for dinner, Cassidy was inspired by the beautiful colors of cake. I love the Batista pasttime of painting. Sims make such wonderful paintings.

That wraps up this lovely and cold trip to Newcrest! Is it cold where you are? I live in Central Florida, so it's not cold here. We do get some cooler days, but nothing as drastic as when I lived in New Jersey or Tennessee. I hope everyone had a great first week of 2020 and I hope the second week is amazing!
