2020 Blog Recap and 2021 Goals and Such

Saying 2020 was a hard year is a huge understatement. I hope everyone has been staying safe during this rough year. What is something good that happened this year? I became a Twitch Affiliate in July and a Pura Vida Bracelets Brand Ambassador in November (deets on that are on my Instagram).

Anyway, let's see what happened with our Sims families this year:

CAMILA AND THE KITTIES

At the end of last year, Camila welcomed Kitty into the family. All year we've been working on making Camila's home worth over 350,000 Simoleons. It is hard, but we're getting there. We're currently around 270,000 Simoleons. I think we can get it in 2021 and move on to a new generation. Chester has run away a few times this year, which is just sad. She runs away so often despite being well taken care of. We finally got Annika to invite us over to her house, which is beautiful. I bought Get Together in February, so Camila has been having loads of fun with club friends. Camila got tired of having to take her cats to the vet, so she got a vet table and when Eco Lifestyle came out, she got a recycler, candle making station, and fabricator. Also, one of the biggest things that happened was Kitty had a kitten named Lilly! So now she has Chester and Shadow, who have white fur, Kitty, who has black fur, and Lilly, who has the same fur colors as a tabby.

What's next for them?

After Camila hits the 350,000 mark, she will find a man and settle down. From there we will raise at least one child and either have them travel the worlds or do another Rags to Riches in another world. Suggestions are always welcome!

BATISTA FAMILY

The Batista family had quite the show this year. Cassidy met Dave, got married, and had baby David. The name is a coincidence. I planned on the first gen D male to be named David long before Cassidy met Dave, but it fits pretty well.

Chad met Leilani, got married and are expecting their bundle of joy to come in January. Guesses as to if they're having a girl or boy are welcome! The names will be a secret until the baby is officially born!

What's next for them?

Cassidy and Dave will continue to raise baby David. Hopefully we'll be ready for him and his cousin to take over the family legacy sometime in the middle of 2021. Chad and Leilani will raise their baby, who fortunately won't be much younger than David. Everyone will do their best to reach the top of their careers before they get added to the Batista family cemetery.

BERRY FAMILY

A lot has happened here. Ross got a nice girlfriend, Brooklynn. They had their lovely son Yannick. But he was caught cheating on her with Siobhan Fyres in Windenburg. They adopted a cute cat named Tom. I do want to find a way to keep him around because I enjoy seeing Tom. Let me know if I should keep him alive or have him as a ghost cat when he passes. Ross has been hard at work wooing Sims of all genders and all ages. As he's been getting older, he's gotten much less picky about the Sims he wooes.

What's next for them?

Ross will continue to achieve the Serial Romantic Aspiration and reach the top of the Business career. Who he decides to marry is still on the table, but I am leaning toward Scarlet since he had a crush on her in high school. Yannick will continue to grow up and have an increasing interest in anything related to space and science.

ALDO AND HARMONY

Aldo was a sole Sim for a while. He took some time to mourn Harmony's loss and he decided to avenge her death. He vowed to defeat the Mother Plant and rid Strangerville of its awful curse. I did mention before that I would've liked the mystery to have a bit more closure, but it was fun nonetheless. After he defeated the Mother Plant, he made his way to level 10 of the Military career. He was there for a couple days, then decided to pack his things and move to Evergreen Harbor. Defeating the Mother Plant gave him a new interest in the environment. He saw Port Promise had a pollution problem, so he wanted to help. But before he moved, he brought Harmony along as a ghost. (I added her back to the household as a ghost). Since Harmony has no need decay, she can build skills and such anytime. When he moved to Evergreen Harbor, he joined the Civil Designer career.

What's next for them?

Aldo is well on his way to making Port Promise a green paradise, so there's no telling what he'll do next. He is still wondering what he should do. Maybe we'll have him settle down and find a lady. Or maybe we'll have him finally pursue a relationship with Harmony. I'm just not sure if ghosts can have babies. I know they can woohoo, but I haven't tried anything else. That will be something we do in 2021.

Thank you all so much for your support this year! I love sharing the stories of my Sims for all of you and I appreciate you reading them! If there are any Sims you'd like to see featured in any of my saves, let me know! I'll just need your gallery name, your Sims' names, and which save you want your Sim to be in!

Evergreen Harbor Part Three

Last time we visited Evergreen Harbor, Harmony was starting to build her Fabrication skill and met Mortimer Goth, who was obsessed with his Future Cube. I can't believe this is the last normal post of 2020! This year has been both amazing and terrible. Thank you all for reading the stories of my Sims this year. I also apologize about this post being so late. I was super busy with Vlogmas and when it ended I took a few days to just chill.

Aldo and Harmony are discussing plants. Aldo wants a variety of plants so they can make a variety of sparkling waters and kombuchas. Harmony likes the idea. She planted all the soybeans then realized that she wouldn't need all of those soy cubes or soybeans.

After their discussion, Aldo wanted to mentor Harmony. She's getting closer to mastering the Fitness Skill and he wants to help.

After a successful workout, Harmony wanted to make a rug. Things were going great until . . .

The fabricator wanted to eat her. There was some sort of malfunction that sucked Harmony right up into the machine! Fortunately she's okay. I mean she has to be. She's a ghost.

After a stressful and sleep-deprived day at work, Aldo decides to tend the garden. Gardening is one of his favorite ways to destress after a long day at work.

And right after Aldo waters the soybeans, Harmony sells the plants and goes for fruit. I mean, that's one way to do it. They made money from both the beans and plants, despite not needing money. They have well 100,000 Simoleons.

Um, Bella. What on earth are you wearing? Bella invited Aldo out to Willow Creek for a night out. Despite being super tired, Aldo said yes. He never misses an opportunity to hang out with his friends.

Aldo is sluggishly dancing to the Blues. He says the music isn't wearing him out; he was getting ready to go to bed when Bella invited him out.

Um, Aldo. That is just gross. Uh, you couldn't have found anywhere less gross to pass out? Apparently not. He passes out on the bathroom floor at the bar.

After his brief nap, he nonchalantly walked out of the bathroom. He acts like he didn't just pass out in a bar bathroom. The funny thing is he only had one drink.

While Aldo sleeps, Harmony decided to make some candles. She is using the last of the wax in her inventory to make this sky blue candle.

I didn't post the picture, but after her candle, she made a rug to put in the new reading corner in the basement. Harmony is taking advantage of the cozy reading corner by reading a book. I forget what she's reading though.

Aldo was tense from no fun, so I wanted him to go on a bike ride. I momentarily forgot the porch is a little high for him to ride down. I did have him walk down and take his bike back out. It's a really quick way to get a Sim's fun up.

Um, Geoffrey. Katrina and Aldo were having a great conversation when you decided to walk between them. *sigh* some townies just want to butt into every conversation.

While Aldo sleeps, Harmony was working on her Mixology skill. Now that she has no need decay, she can build whatever skills she wishes any time she wants.

But while she was practicing mixing drinks, she started feeling ill. I wasn't really aware ghosts could get sick. But here she is taking medicine to combat her cold.

That wraps up the final trip of 2020! I hope you enjoyed traveling to the worlds and catching up with the Sims every week! The next post is my 2020 wrap up and goals for 2021. I hope you continue following the Sims and their stories!

Not So Berry Rose Gen Part Eighteen

On our last visit to Oasis Springs we had a dryer fire! Yannick was also able to bond with Ross and Brooklynn a little more.

Ross is working on wooing a couple more Sims before he ages up. This is ___. As we could tell by the last part, Ross isn't picky about wooing men or women.

It looks like things are going well! He was quite shocked to have Ross kiss him so fast. That's one of the perks of Ross being so infamously flirty.

Ooh, what is this? Ross is WOOHOOING! I guess Ross really likes him. Maybe we'll keep him around ;)

Yannick doesn't seem to happy that Siobhan is trying her best to help with his homework. Math wasn't her strong subject in school, but she's doing her best.

It's also Siobhan's birthday! Happy birthday Siobhan! She is now an adult.

Right after the celebration, Yannick decided to make a mess in the hallway. Scarlet suggested he clean it up before Ross saw it. Good call, Scarlet. Yannick immediately cleaned up his mess.

This is adorable. Ross is reading Yannick Lord of the Swings. I hope they enjoy it.

After storytime, Yannick wanted to work on his Mental skill. He's been really into space and Sci-Fi lately, so we'll see how everything goes.

Scarlet has really caught the painting bug. She seems to paint all the time, which isn't a bad thing.

Ooh, Ross is wooing yet another Sim. He really wants to woo everyone in Oasis Springs!

It's New Year's Eve and Ross is getting in the spirit! He just made the resolution to get promoted, so now that's even more of a goal for him.

Scarlet and Yannick are watching from the living room while Ross and Siobhan watch from the dining room. Happy New Year, Berry family!

It's a beautiful early spring day in Oasis Springs, so Ross got the mail. Someone sent Siobhan a birthday gift. I think it was her dad Dominic.

Ross really isn't picky about who he tries to woo. This is ___, who is clearly an elder. Let's hope this goes well.

Hmm, so far it's not terrible. Let's hope Ross can pull this off.

Oof, and ___ didn't like it. Ross has wooed an elder, but ___ just isn't having it. Don't worry Ross, there are much better Sims than this crazy dude. Most Sims appreciate your flirting and consider it a compliment.

Ross is getting closer to becoming an elder and Yannick is getting closer to becoming a teen. Hopefully we can still leave someone at the altar and marry Scarlet as an elder. Since he already has Yannick, he can't have kids with anyone else. But at least he can woohoo ;) Next week is our last official post of 2020. This year has been good and bad for all of us and we can only hope that 2021 will be better. Next week we'll be catching up with Aldo and Harmony. If you're traveling this week (or next week), be safe and have a great time wherever you go!

A to Z Batista Legacy Gen C Part Seventeen

I can't believe this is the last time we visit the Batistas in 2020! This year has been great at times and miserable at others. Keeping up with this blog has been one of the things keeping me on track this year.
When we last visited the Batista family, it was Winterfest! Leilani got a less than desirable present and we were continuing to work on Chad and Leilani's relationship.

It seems like Dave also got a less than desirable present too. I forget what it was, but he wasn't happy.

I don't think Dave and Cassidy really don't know what personal space is. They morphed into one Sim for a moment.

Ooh, we have a baby!! Cassidy has given birth to a BOY! So if you guessed she was having a boy, congrats! :D His name is David! I had planned on naming my D-generation boy David (one of my best friends is named David so it fits) and Cassidy marrying Dave was a complete coincidence. But now his name has a little sentiment behind it.

After Cassidy gave birth, Leilani wanted to chat in the kitchen. Leilani was asking Cassidy if she'd make a birthday cake for Chad since today is his birthday. Cassidy said yes. She and Chad have always been close, so it was an obvious choice for her.

Um, Chad? Number one, why does your bike have a flower power type paint job? And two, why are you riding the bike in the house? (disclaimer I accidentally hit "Bike Here" instead of "Go Here" when I tried to get everyone in the kitchen.

Happy birthday, Chad! Chad is officially an adult, and is one step closer to retiring. We shall see how far we can get him in the Painting Career.

This part is super eventful so far! It's now wedding time! And look who our caterer is! It's Mila Munch from Windenburg!

Before the ceremony got underway, Chad and Leilani are having some chips while Dave orders a drink.

Chad liked her, so he put a ring on her!

Congrats Chad and Leilani! <3

Here is a good shot of the lovely wedding guests. They all know the Batistas and how iconic they are in Newcrest.

And they carried out the tradition of sharing the first piece of wedding cake. Chad and Leilani are so cute.

Everyone was hungry and tired after the official part of the ceremony (that's what happens when you plan a late night wedding in the Sims). I do miss when you could plan social events in the future.

Musician Kimberly Pratt and Chad's friend Willie Logan were chatting it up while Kimberly played some lovely violin tunes. Cassidy walked away to let them get to talking.

I guess it's nap time? There is a ton of down time in a wedding, so it only makes sense to catch some zzz's.

I decided to end the wedding "early," so everyone went home. Well, Mila Munch left two dishes on the counter for someone to finish. One was the French Toast Chad is cooking, and the other is a black and white cake that Chad also finished. He is now level 2 in the Gourmet Cooking Skill.

Since it is the last Batista post of 2020, I wanted to share some pictures from the Wedding Venue in Brindleton Bay.

It's my favorite world in the game and having Seasons just adds to it, especially in the winter. What's your favorite world? If you could live or take a vacation in *any* world from any Sims game, where would you go? Next week we catch up with the Berry family, so let's see what we can get into with Ross and Yannick. We'll be focusing quite a bit on Yannick since he's about a week from aging up into a teen, which means he can start working on his adult skills.
