A to Z Batista Legacy Gen B Part Seven

Last time in Newcrest, Bort became an elder, while Chad and Cassidy are bonding nicely. Bethany also made a somewhat unwise decision to not wear her summer outfit to do laundry outside.

Bort is uncomfortable after his workout. Like I said in the last post, elders who workout, regardless of their fitness level, will become very uncomfortable for 2 hours. Fortunately he and Ian have not died exercising.

Bort's post workout snack of choice is a deliciously grilled burger. He says they have a great protein/carb balance. Just try to avoid fast food ones and instead grill them.

Bort also learned mud baths only make a Sim' hygiene worse instead of better. At least he feels more relaxed now. The tub is also gross.

Bort and Bethany discuss things over dinner. They like to talk about anything from how they hope the family legacy will go to the weather to the plants and even the kids that play on the playground between their and the Kiwi family's home. The Kiwi family is based on Rachelle from KiwiSimming and her partner Alex. (Note I made them before they adopted their kitty Tia).

Will this be Bort and Afro's final woohoo? Spoiler: it's not. They love to woohoo and hope to do so even after both pass away. Ghost woohoo? Why not? This is the Sims. 

Bort and Afro share a nice moment on the porch the morning after their excellent woohoo. Their expectations have gone down since becoming elders, but that hasn't stopped them!

Cassidy has picked up painting very nicely! This is her newest piece. She calls it "Boating Day." Her dad and aunt Bethany have helped her tremendously. Bethany hopes Chad will keep painting in the family.

I forget why Bethany is tense here. I think her fun level may have been low, but she still looks great. It's okay, Bethany, just watch some great TV or play Sims Forever or Blicblock. 

Cassidy and her mom Afro had a lovely conversation before Cassidy went to school one day. She hopes Cassidy and Chad will carry on the lovely Batista legacy. She also encouraged Cassidy to keep the Batista last name like her aunt Bethany did when she married Ian. That will make the name more memorable and powerful.

Bort decided he wants to finish as many paintings as he can before he passes, especially since his dad Alec passed away right after he finished a painting.

Cassidy looks so sleek in her winter attire. She's a big fan of neutral colors with one pop of a bright one.

It's Bethany's birthday and Afro looks quite pleased with how she made the cake and how well Cassidy is turning out even though she hates children. 

Cassidy wanted to burn some calories before eating her aunt's birthday cake. She loves treating herself wisely, as long as it doesn't get in the way of her dream of being a professional athlete.

Happy birthday Bethany! She's the last Gen B Sim to become an elder. We'll find out if she's the last to pass away. But let's not focus on that now; let's have Bethany enjoy her party!

Cassidy is cheering for her aunt to age up! She loves how close everyone in her family is, even her grandparents Jordan and Alec who visit occasionally.

I hope Bethany is as great an elder as Bort, Afro and Ian have been! Bethany had a great celebration with those she loves most.

That concludes today's visit to Newcrest and the Batista clan! We only have a few parts left with the B generation, then everything will be left to Cassidy and Chad, plus whoever they choose to marry! I'd love suggestions for future Batista careers! Alec was an Entertainer (Musician), Jordan (who was married in) was in the Culinary career, and Afro (who was also married into the fam) is a Detective.

Rags To Riches Stage Four Part Eight

We are really close to finishing the challenge! I will continue posting Camila and her kitties as she goes through the Mansion Baron aspiration! It's been so much fun having her make money in ways I didn't realize worked so well!

We start by watching Camila and Shadow play with the Laser Pointer. Chester just watches because unfortunately you can only do this with one pet at a time.

Chester decided to watch from the dining room table. Shadow's favorite thing to play with is the Laser Pointer.

My game is still glitched because Clement Frost (aka Father Winter) WILL NOT LEAVE CAMILA'S HOME. This time we caught him sleeping in her bed NAKED. Gross, dude. (Note...I have tried resetting him and it didn't work. He is not part of her household and she cannot ask him to leave.)

Watch out, Shadow! It seems like Chester and Shadow are *always* getting into cat fights and this is no different *sigh*

After the cat fight, Shadow wanted to meow her affection (she and Chester would've been fixed a while ago but the vet glitches whenever I try to do that).

Shadow then got tired and decided to take a nap. Chester is keeping watch to make sure no one takes their food. They're really possessive of their food.

Since Clement won't leave Camila's house, she told him he needs to contribute somehow. He decided to grill some food.

It didn't turn out very well. Camila is already super tense so this didn't help.

Fortunately she was about to check on the food anyway. Heroic Camila Molina to the rescue! She put that fire out so fast! Every time my Sim has a fire it makes me miss firefighters and burglars so much!

Shadow and Chester are playing together. Fortunately it's friendly play and not another fight.

Shadow was finally caught being on the table. Camila doesn't mind if the cats are on counters and tables as long as they don't eat the Sim food or scratch any surfaces.

Oh no! That upset Shadow so much she decided to run away again! Shadow has run away a couple times and Chester has once. The thing is, Camila gives them plenty of attention, plays with them a lot and always makes sure their food bowls are full :P

Let's hope Shadow comes back soon! This concludes this part of Rags to Riches. There is one more part then I will show the pictures of Camila's home renovation! Then from there we will go through the Mansion Baron Aspiration! What should I do next? Should we continue to follow Camila and have her get a man? Or should we start a new series? Strangerville Part Ten

Strangerville is such a fun world! The mystery is a lot of fun to play, the scenery is really nice and who doesn't love new townies?

This is what a sink covered in vines looks like. When you complete the second part of the Strangerville Mystery aspiration, these appear almost every time you use a sink, toilet, shower or tub. They are not in any other world.

Aldo and Harmony discuss how well their Winterfest party went. It was their first one in the new home, and it went super well! They can't wait to host the next one! It was the talk of the town!

Harmony was painting when she was joined by a friend and Aldo. All their friend wanted to do was discuss Strangerville and see if either Harmony or Aldo had seen anything new and interesting.

It's New Year's Eve in Strangerville! Here's to another year of friendship, hard work and fun! Who knows, maybe a new love will sprout?

One of my favorite things about watching New Year's Eve TV is the TV has "fireworks" coming out of the top. It goes on for a few Sim minutes then stops. Both Harmony and Aldo have the resolution to gain a skill.

Harmony chose to work on her fitness skill. If she wants to solve the mystery anytime soon, she needs to be super quick on her feet.

After she worked out a little, she decided to swim. It was unseasonably warm in Strangerville, so it was perfect. When she was done, she thought it would be fun to try and flirt with Aldo. 

Surprisingly, it worked! It seems like Aldo and Harmony have some chemistry. I mean, they are best friends who live together. It only makes sense to make them fall in love.

Before it got too dark, they decided to take a swim. They love that their new home came with this gorgeous pool because their last house didn't have one. It was home for a while, but they're so happy to be here.

Aldo got hungry, so he stopped swimming to eat. As you can see in the background, they finally had enough money to replace the stove and counter that was burned in the fire a few days ago.

Meanwhile, Harmony is still enjoying her time in the pool.

Harmony got promoted to level 6, which means she has to choose a branch! When she and Aldo were teens, they agreed to do different branches if they're ever in the same career. Harmony opted for the Covert Operator branch because she thinks it would help with the mystery.

"Harmony!" Aldo called from the bathroom on the main floor. He found vines in the toilet and sink again. He hates cleaning them out but does so anyway. Cassandra Goth is dancing as usual. She loves to come over and dance. At least she's not using the computer like every other Sim does.

Aldo needed to get his fitness skill up a little, so he wanted to get in a quick boxing session before he got too tired.

Aldo got promoted to level 6 as well! He chose the Officer branch. We will see what both of them will do.

But that will do it for this portion of the Strangerville story! Future parts will definitely be more story and career focused! I am really excited to solve this mystery and rid Strangerville of this awful curse!

Not So Berry Mint Gen Part Ten

Ross noticed the coffee pot was broken, so he fixed it. His skills are building quite nicely.

Mitchell is back at work upgrading his SimRay even more. He loves using it on his coworkers.

He snuck up on his coworker and got her with the SimRay. One of his favorite things to do at work is bamboozle his coworkers and make them change into ridiculous outfits.

The Berry family has officially moved! I looked on the gallery as well as Google for some inspiration on a new home for the family because the other one was getting a little cluttered, especially since Ross is getting older. This is the basement. It features two staircases (this was taken before I added them), a full bathroom, room for some yoga and the laundry room. It's super spacious. It is on the Gallery under Berry Manor (my Gallery name is PhilliesPOPster5!)

Here is the main floor of the manor, facing the front. I love making open floors for maximum entertainment space. The Berry family loves inviting their friends over for parties!

This is the main floor, facing the back of the house. This build took me a couple hours and the hardest part was figuring out where everything should go.

This is the second/top floor facing the back, The small bedroom is for when the heirs are babies, toddlers and children. The pink is when they age into teens and if they become young adults before their parents pass away. The color/theme changes with every generation.

The first thing Ross wanted to do was paint! Nina was glad her son wants to follow her in being a wonderful painter and offered him plenty of advice.

The next day at work, Mitchell witnessed his coworker Marisol Goodman die from old age. They always joked his shenanigans would make him pass first, but both were wrong. He will greatly miss one of his good friends, but he knows it's only a matter of time before they see each other again.

Mitchell spent the rest of the day and the following couple days very sad from witnessing his friend pass. He said it would've been easier if he wasn't in the same room as she was. It's gonna be okay, Mitchell.

At least the Grim Reaper was nice enough to leave her gravestone for them to remember Marisol. She was a great coworker, friend and Scientist.

That concludes today's eventful visit to Oasis Springs! Next time we will spend more time in Berry Manor. Something happens in the home not long after they move in! Find out what it is in two weeks!
