Rags to Riches: Mansion Baron Part Four

On our last trip to Brindleton Bay, Chester ran away and Camila painted three masterpieces. It was definitely more exciting than the previous one! Chester is still unfortunately missing but we'll see if she comes back today! We sure do miss her when she runs away. I wonder where runaway Sim pets go. Maybe another world? Another part of Brindleton Bay? I think this is a Sims 4 mystery that may never be solved.

Today we're starting with Camila researching new art she wants to try to paint.

Here she is painting one of the new pictures she must have seen on the internet. 

Kitty loves sleeping in fun positions and since Camila wasn't using her bed, she figured it was the purr-fect opportunity to try it (bad joke) ;P

Sims glitches are the best glitches. Here is Camila playing with Shadow. She loves the cat wand toy and the laser pointer.

Here's the finished version of the painting Camila was working on earlier. It looks pretty awesome! I don't remember if this was a masterpiece or not though.

Camila came out of her glitch and resumed playing with Shadow. I also love the art that comes with the game. It adds a lot to the house.

Chester is back! Welcome back Chester! Oof, you're all dirty. As long as you're not sick, all is good.

Chester is perfectly healthy, but Kitty isn't. So Camila is making a trip to the vet to make cure whatever is ailing her.

Fortunately for Camila the vets here in Brindleton Bay are super nice and Kitty loves them.

Kitty gets examined by the vet. I forget what she had but it was 750 Simoleons for Kitty to get a preventative shot. When it comes to her kitties, Camila never takes the cheap route.

Shadow likes coming to the greenhouse to do some kitty meditating. She's here all the time and especially if Camila is tending to the plants or caring for the bees.

Camila's in the kitchen working on her Crown Roast recipe! She's currently at cooking level 8 and Crown Roast is a level 7 recipe.

Apparently it smells really good because the stray kitties that are hanging out are all around Camila and the oven.

Shadow, that isn't an optimal seating location. Somehow Camila placed the roast on the counter and couldn't get a plate, even before Shadow sat there. I had to go into Build/Buy to move it so she could eat.

Well, that is going to wrap up today's trip to Brindleton Bay! Chester came back, Kitty got sick, and Camila tried a new painting and a new recipe! That sounds like a good trip! I think her home is valued around 187,000 Simoleons so we'll see how long it'll take to get to 200,000.

Strangerville Part Eighteen

Aldo is doing his best to go on without Harmony. He's currently about halfway to level 9 in Fitness, so he's getting closer to achieving his goal! Then he will continue solving the Strangerville Mystery and cure these Sims of the curse.
Last time we visited Aldo, Harmony's ghost played a big part in the story. She cried under the covers of her old bed. I'm not sure why she was sad though.

Harmony seems like she feels defeated that the Mother won that battle. Aldo once told her, "a battle may be over, but the war is far from it." He's right.

Happy Harvestfest Aldo! (or is it Merry Harvestfest? Either way works.) Aldo is starting the holiday by making his favorite dish, the Ham Grand Meal.

After he finished cooking, he decided to pass the time and work on his Charisma skill. He has to hit level 6 for the next promotion. He's currently about halfway through level 5. He's getting close.

It's party time!! This is Aldo's party outfit, although it is different than I remember. I guess Strangerville is really growing on him.

Andrea is the first guest to arrive. In true Bro fashion, they started greeting each other by hip bumps. It's definitely different, but I like it.

Two Santas? Clement Frost was last year's Santa. This year it's Ehren Riggs. Townies do have some interesting names.

It isn't a party without food! Fortunately for Aldo everyone enjoyed the food. For parties like this I do a Dinner Party and invite as many people as I feel like. Harmony always planned the parties because she knew more Sims. Aldo knows 6 other Sims (not including Ehren, who he just met) so it's a smaller party than previous ones.

After the party Aldo decided to troll teh forums. He was on the nice list this year but apparently doesn't think trolling is bad. It is. For the most part anyway.

One thing Aldo has been wanting to try is a nice relaxing bath after a party. He was still really energized after everyone left, and this seemed to help relax him so he could sleep and work the next morning. Never underestimate the power of a relaxing bath.

After work the next day, Aldo wanted to spar with the robot. He hadn't done it in a while, so he wanted to see what he could do with higher Fitness skill.

Wowza, Aldo! You've got some great moves! This is the 4th time he did this move and I was finally able to get him in midair. He's getting really good at this.

Workouts make one hungry so the next stop after Aldo's sparring session was the fridge. He loves how cold leftover ham smells. Um, Aldo I think it would smell better if it was warmer lol

It's Night on the Town! What better night to have a celebration like this than Friday night? Aldo wanted to get out of Strangerville for a bit so he ventured over to Oasis Springs. The lounge is my favorite because it plays the Retro station, which is music from Sims 1 and 2. Oh nostalgia.

Since it was free, he went for the most expensive drink on the menu, the Sea of Fire. He liked it. He is also enjoying meeting Sims from other places.

Aldo feels refreshed. It's always good to get out and meet new Sims every now and then. He's strutting his way back to Strangerville. Somehow he only had one drink. I thought he ordered at least one more but I guess he didn't.

This is a pretty good stopping point on today's trip to Strangerville! Next time we visit should be New Year's Eve! So we will ring in the New Sim Year with Aldo!

Not So Berry Rose Gen Part Four

Last time we visited Oasis Springs we rang in the New Year with Ross and Leanna. Brooklynn came over in the middle of the following night for whatever reason. Both Mitchell and Nina made appearances as well! It was pretty productive.

Ross woke up and found Nina making a mess in the bathroom and Brooklynn doing some more yoga. She really likes working on her physique. 

A very important question was asked and the answer was a big fat yes and some cheering from both parties.

What a way to ring in a New Year and a new relationship! Ross and Brooklynn are doing the thing! And that thing is WOOHOO!

Both Brooklynn and Ross were very satisfied by their first woohoo! Also Brooklynn is wearing pants. It just doesn't look like she is because of the color of the pants. Unfortunately they couldn't go for round two because Ross has to work this morning.

It's Brooklynn's birthday! I didn't realize she was older than Ross, so I may have her move in and make them have our yellow gen heir. I'm not sure I want to do the serial romantic aspiration with Ross (I know, I'm breaking the rules. Ross is my Sim.)

I think Brooklynn lives in Willow Creek but I'm not entirely sure. This is a beautiful home though. Somehow I didn't get any pictures with Brooklynn and Ross on her birthday :P

Ross, you dress up nicely. Will he get a promotion? We shall see. He's ready for one so hopefully.

Ross gives us a really nice first-person view of his kitchen. This is easily one of my favorite kitchens I've built to date. Most of it is base game (the floor is from Outdoor Retreat). I'm considering uploading it separately to the gallery; the Berry house is already on there under Berry Manor. You can find me at PhilliesPOPster5 :)

That's a different suit than earlier, so it looks like Ross got the promotion! He's now halfway to the top of the Business career and he's not even an adult yet! He doesn't want the spirits of his parents to go away just yet, so he makes an offering to strengthen their connections to the physical world. He hates that they always break things, but he's glad they still visit him. 

Leanna came over again. I don't know why they love watching TV in the basement. I did size this one up so that's why it looks much bigger than the other 3500 Simoleon TVs.

Here's a better view of Ross' new fancy business suit. He's so happy to be working his way to the top.

A hot spring day in Oasis Springs calls for some relaxation in the kiddie pool! Just seeing the pool gives Ross flashbacks to when Nina would play with him in this when he was a toddler. 

I love that there's a random rubber ducky in the pool. Adult Sims will toss it up and it falls into the water. It's pretty entertaining to watch what Sims do.

That will conclude today's trip to Oasis Springs! Ross still has some time before he becomes an adult so how far do you think he'll be in his career? Do you think he'll make it to level 10 before he becomes an elder? Will Brooklynn move in with Ross soon? I saw that she's in the culinary career, so we'll see what she makes when she joins the household.

A to Z Batista Legacy Gen C Part Three

I have missed playing this family so much. Since I started playing on my desktop, I haven't been on my laptop nearly as much. Most of my saves transferred from the laptop to desktop easily but a few, like the Batistas, didn't. That's because the file names are the same as a couple desktop saves and I was unable to change them. It's all good though :)
Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of The Sims release! I started playing in June 2010 when I received Sims 2 Double Deluxe as a gift. One of my earliest Sims memories was when I first started playing. I made a family (a lovely married couple and their teenage daughter). I was thirsty so I went upstairs to get a drink. I forgot to pause the game. When I came back down, less than two minutes later, everything was on fire. They couldn't afford a fire alarm, so the husband and daughter ended up dying in the fire. I definitely learned a huge lesson that day.
When did you start playing Sims? What game was your first? Are you a PC or Console Simmer? The only console Sims games I've played were Sims 1 for PS2 and Sims 2 for Nintendo DS.
Anyway, let's get into today's Batista story! On our last visit to Newcrest, Chad became a young adult and was debating what career track to enter. We may see what his decision was.

Work it Cassidy! She loves wearing activewear all the time because it's so comfortable and you can move so easily. She's currently at level 5 Fitness and it's showing! She's losing weight pretty steadily.

Chad decided to take care of the bees. I need to get better at remembering to take care of them. I wish there was a beekeeper that came out and helped with them.

Both Cassidy and Chad's Social needs were getting low, so what's better than cloudgazing? This is one of the ways they've stayed so close over the years. One of the topics they discussed was what career path Chad was going to enter. In true Batista fashion, he is going to be a Painter!

Clement Frost (aka Santa) wanted to come over. It's spring but hasn't warmed up a ton. So he's at the Batista house dressed like it's Winterfest lol

Chad is really trying to get good at Horseshoes. I'm not sure why, but he and Cassidy play all the time by themselves.

Cassidy was sore from work, so she and Chad treated themselves to massages. Chad's hands were super tense, so he got a hand massage. Painting can be tough work.

While Chad was getting his hand massage, Cassidy wanted a sport massage. This spa is on the Gallery. I forget the name of it though. The Sims community has some incredible spas :)

The next morning Chad was awake first. He was getting tired of all the cake, so he made some scrambled eggs and bacon. What a great breakfast for himself and Cassidy.

Chad had work and Cassidy didn't, so she wanted to hit the gym. It's great being able to workout in your own basement, but it's so different working out in a gym.

I think Cassidy is addicted to working out. Not long after she got home, she did some boxing. She is getting really good. She's currently level 6 in Fitness.

Both Alec and Jordan decided to haunt things on the same night. So what do they do? Jump into the shower and tub in the main level bathroom. I hate that ghosts break EVERYTHING. Chad and Cassidy wake up at least every other day to broken plumbing and such. Is there a way to stop this? I like having the ghosts around the house, but breaking everything gets old.

 Alec is in the living room while Jordan tries to clean up the mess they made from breaking the tub and shower.

Chad woke up and must have scared Alec. So he tries to hide in the floor. This game is great lol

One of the promotion tasks for Cassidy is reaching level 5 Charisma. Since she's level 4, she practices her speech on her day off.

After work Cassidy noticed the money tree was starting to get weeds and bugs. She took care of that before Chad got home.

That will wrap up today's visit to Newcrest! For Cassidy's next promotion she will choose between being a Bodybuilder and being a Professional Athlete. Which will we she choose? We shall see next time :)
