Strangerville Part Twenty-Four (contains Strangerville Mystery spoilers!)

This part will be a little longer than normal. I thought it was going to be shorter but it ended up being a little longer. I'm really excited for today! There are only a couple parts left until Aldo moves to Evergreen Harbor to impact the eco footprint! I have gone and made most of the lots in Port Promise have an industrial footprint. That way it doesn't autonomously become neutral. It won't be as fun to play if it's neutral.

We left off with Aldo at 8 Bells Bar in Strangerville. He was waiting to find someone infected, then out of nowhere Francisco Collazo suddenly became possessed!

Aldo administered the infection vaccine and it worked! Aldo has now cured another Sim of the awful infection! 

Aldo doesn't know Francisco that well, so they did some stargazing outside 8 Bells Bar to get to know each other a little better. It's after 3am so the stars will be out for a while.

After cloudgazing for a couple Sim hours, Aldo asked Francisco if he'd like to help defeat the Mother Plant. He said yes! So now we have three Sims on our team!

When Aldo and Francisco were talking I got this cool picture of possessed Sims walking toward/away from the Secret Lab.

IT'S TIME!!! IT'S FINALLY TIME!!! It's time to defeat the Mother! Aldo took the day off work to rest up and prepare to defeat the Mother Plant. Aldo is ready to do it for Harmony and all the lovely people of Strangerville.

It's been a little bit since Aldo recruited everyone. He has Ellis Willey, Pilot George Cahill, and Francisco Collazo. Let's see if these four can do it! I'm nervous. I lost one Sim already and I'm not about to lose another.

Be careful Aldo! The Mother is strong, but our team is stronger! Go Aldo!

The team infection level is getting high, but the Mother's lifeline is getting low. One more powerful attack should work!

AND IT DOES! After 16 1/2 months the Mother Plant has officially been defeated!! Thank you Ellis, George, Francisco and Aldo for ridding Strangerville of this awful infection! No more Sims will be possessed (unless I later decide to restart the mystery in this save). I will be honest. I had to reload the game because I rage quit. Aldo was about to die from the Mother Plant and I rage reloaded the save. Fortunately I had saved it about 10 Sim minutes before the fatal attack.

Aldo shields himself from one last possible attack as the Mother Plant dies. Well technically she doesn't die, she just goes dormant until someone feeds her bizarre fruits.

After the Mother Plant bows in defeat, George fires his confetti cannon around a possessed Sim.

Ellis shakes his noisemaker in victory!

Francisco also shakes his noisemaker in victory!

And the new Hero of Strangerville, Aldo Jansen, pops his confetti canon in celebration. He has finally defeated the Mother and brought some justice to Harmony.

Here we have one last possessed Sim going back to the lair.

Here's what the Secret Lab looks like without the bizarre plants. It looks much more "normal".

Once Aldo returned home I took this picture facing the lab. 

It's now Harvestfest! Aldo took the day off yesterday and he has one today as well. He's working on his Charisma skill. He has to master it to reach the top of the Military career. He's barely at level 8 right now. Unfortunately the higher the skill, the longer it takes to level up. Two reward traits that help are Morning Sim and Night Owl.

That officially wraps up the Strangerville Mystery! We will remain in Strangerville until Aldo reaches level 10 the Military career. He will stay at level 10 for about a Sim week, then we will be moving to "The Shipping Views" in Port Promise, Evergreen Harbor. From there we will be going through the Civil Designer career. I'm super excited and glad Aldo defeated the Mother!
