A to Z Batista Legacy Gen C Part Ten

Last time we visited Newcrest, I started making an industrial footprint in Llama Lagoon. I think it's harder to get an industrial footprint than a green one, but I do wish it was harder to do. The Batista's will be staying in Newcrest, but will visit Evergreen Harbor to explore the world and see where Sims like Tina Tinker live.

We're starting off with a bang kiss! Chad finally told Leilani how he felt and she feels the same way.

They're talking and getting to know each other better. Leilani is telling Chad about a coworker who was slacking on the job.

Happy birthday Cassidy! She's now an adult, which means we don't have much time to find her a man and have a baby! We can do it though.

Leilani and Chad are celebrating alongside Cassidy! What a special moment. Chad and Cassidy are super close and I hope the rest of the Batista heirs will remain close. We'll see how the family tree works as we go down the line. All the heirs will be related, but I have a feeling the Sims family trees don't go past "cousin."

It's a nice day to go to Sunny Side Up Diner and look who else is here! Moira, Dominic, and Morgan Fyres! I assume Siobhan had to work because normally she's with them. Sunny Side Up Diner is one of Maxis' builds on the Gallery. You only need Dine Out :)

Leilani and Chad are on a date. I hope it goes well. If Chad and Leilani get married, there's a strong chance their child(ren) will have red hair!

Chad and Leilani are talking to the Fyres while eating their dinner. I forget what they got to eat, but Chad ordered some white wine and Leilani ordered some red.

Meanwhile back at home, Cassidy is hoping to finally master the Fitness skill. She's almost there.

She does master the Fitness skill right as this was taken. She loves watching sports while working out. I agree Cassidy; watching sports does help you workout harder. Just don't compare yourself to the athletes on TV :)

Ooh what do we have here? After their amazing date, Leilani and Chad are feeling FLIRTY. Flirty enough to have a nice hot tub woohoo in Chad's bedroom. Steamy! Let's allow them to have a moment.

Downstairs, Cassidy invited her crush Dave Apablaza. He is a Journalist at Walrus Books. Their relationship isn't super strong, but she hopes to improve it.

What's the best way to increase a relationship without cheats or mods? Cloudgazing! I love that the Batistas' cloudgazing area of choice is the porch. There's a beautiful yard, but they insist on using the porch.

The following day was Harvestfest. Alex dressed up as Darth Maul from Star Wars. I love how the Sims uses characters from Star Wars in their costumes.

Chad wanted to be Darth Vader. "Cassidy I am your cousin," he says.

Cassidy's favorite character is Princess Leia. She's one of the many characters that has inspired her to be the best she can be.

I forget the name of the character Leilani went as, but she looks great. Each Harvestfest from here on, I want to have a theme with the costumes. This year is Star Wars. Who knows what next year will be. I do wish we had a better selection of costumes Sims can wear. I have both Seasons and Spooky Stuff.

That wraps up today's trip to Newcrest! I did cheat a little and had Leilani and Alex move in with Chad and Cassidy. Next time we visit, we'll be diving more into the Industrial Footprint and seeing how to use the water and electricity generators. All the other saves I've done I've had a green footprint, so it's exciting to see what industrial footprints look like in other worlds.

Rags to Riches: Mansion Baron Part Ten

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend! I spent all day and most of the night Saturday deep cleaning and decluttering my bathroom, as well as painting the trim in the hallway. It's now a lovely gray. I'll have a YouTube video coming out either this week or next week of cleaning the bathroom. I also have been making TikToks of redoing the hallway. I may upload the TikToks as a compilation on YouTube. I only have music in one clip and I can easily mute that one and do a voiceover. My username on TikTok is Tessaundra, same as YouTube, Twitch, Twitter and Instagram :)

So last time we visited Camila and the kitties, she met Annika's kids and she's also attending her first Partyhaus gathering.

Camila has been practicing her DJ skills as well as dancing while at home. She says it's so she can prevent being embarrassed if she messes up. That's understandable, Camila.

When she was done showing off her sweet moves the crowd gathered around the DJ. "He's pretty good," Camila thought to herself. She loves good music and a great crowd.

Candy Behr was trying to show off a couple moves but she instead faceplanted. 

After the gathering was over Camila decided to take a jog around the neighborhood. Windenburg is gorgeous in the winter!

When she got home, Camila decided to post some pictures of Kitty on Simstagram. Camila wasn't sure when she lasted posted about Kitty. Simstagram loves her! I mean, look at that face <3

Sometimes the smallest details are the most fascinating. I love the frosted windows in the winter. Seasons is such a beautiful pack and I can't recommend it enough. Also I love how they used townies in the movie posters. The Bob Pancakes one is ICONIC. Bob is the best townie.

Shadow doesn't like the stereo today. Since it's winter, Camila loves listening to the Winter Holiday station. 

After Camila was painting for a while, Chester and Kitty decided to join the party. Camila really loves her kitties.

Camila kept getting distracted by the cats, so it's been taking her longer than normal to paint. One of the requirements for this aspiration milestone is complete 10 excellent paintings. She currently has four because it doesn't count previously painted paintings.

One of Camila's friends (I forget which one) invited her to a party at the manor in Windenburg. Here she is showing off her fire dance moves. Mastering the Dancing skill is a lot of fun, but I wish there was a way to make money from it.

Camila wanted a drink so she's taking a small break from dancing. Plus the DJ was getting boring.

She came home that night and Kitty was sick. Her beautiful black fur was icy blue.

I renovated the guest rooms a little as well. The movie room is now officially the guest room with a dresser, mirror, two nightstands with alarm clocks and two single beds next to each other.

The art room is becoming Camila's vet studio. Rather than go to the vet any time the kitties are sick, she can help them in the comfort of their home. In the next part we'll see if we can cure strays or if they have to be a part of our household.

That wraps up today's chilly trip to Brindleton Bay! Next visit we'll see what's wrong with Kitty and Camila will start on the Veterinary Skill. That has 10 levels I think. Have a great week! :)

Strangerville Part Twenty-Four (contains Strangerville Mystery spoilers!)

This part will be a little longer than normal. I thought it was going to be shorter but it ended up being a little longer. I'm really excited for today! There are only a couple parts left until Aldo moves to Evergreen Harbor to impact the eco footprint! I have gone and made most of the lots in Port Promise have an industrial footprint. That way it doesn't autonomously become neutral. It won't be as fun to play if it's neutral.

We left off with Aldo at 8 Bells Bar in Strangerville. He was waiting to find someone infected, then out of nowhere Francisco Collazo suddenly became possessed!

Aldo administered the infection vaccine and it worked! Aldo has now cured another Sim of the awful infection! 

Aldo doesn't know Francisco that well, so they did some stargazing outside 8 Bells Bar to get to know each other a little better. It's after 3am so the stars will be out for a while.

After cloudgazing for a couple Sim hours, Aldo asked Francisco if he'd like to help defeat the Mother Plant. He said yes! So now we have three Sims on our team!

When Aldo and Francisco were talking I got this cool picture of possessed Sims walking toward/away from the Secret Lab.

IT'S TIME!!! IT'S FINALLY TIME!!! It's time to defeat the Mother! Aldo took the day off work to rest up and prepare to defeat the Mother Plant. Aldo is ready to do it for Harmony and all the lovely people of Strangerville.

It's been a little bit since Aldo recruited everyone. He has Ellis Willey, Pilot George Cahill, and Francisco Collazo. Let's see if these four can do it! I'm nervous. I lost one Sim already and I'm not about to lose another.

Be careful Aldo! The Mother is strong, but our team is stronger! Go Aldo!

The team infection level is getting high, but the Mother's lifeline is getting low. One more powerful attack should work!

AND IT DOES! After 16 1/2 months the Mother Plant has officially been defeated!! Thank you Ellis, George, Francisco and Aldo for ridding Strangerville of this awful infection! No more Sims will be possessed (unless I later decide to restart the mystery in this save). I will be honest. I had to reload the game because I rage quit. Aldo was about to die from the Mother Plant and I rage reloaded the save. Fortunately I had saved it about 10 Sim minutes before the fatal attack.

Aldo shields himself from one last possible attack as the Mother Plant dies. Well technically she doesn't die, she just goes dormant until someone feeds her bizarre fruits.

After the Mother Plant bows in defeat, George fires his confetti cannon around a possessed Sim.

Ellis shakes his noisemaker in victory!

Francisco also shakes his noisemaker in victory!

And the new Hero of Strangerville, Aldo Jansen, pops his confetti canon in celebration. He has finally defeated the Mother and brought some justice to Harmony.

Here we have one last possessed Sim going back to the lair.

Here's what the Secret Lab looks like without the bizarre plants. It looks much more "normal".

Once Aldo returned home I took this picture facing the lab. 

It's now Harvestfest! Aldo took the day off yesterday and he has one today as well. He's working on his Charisma skill. He has to master it to reach the top of the Military career. He's barely at level 8 right now. Unfortunately the higher the skill, the longer it takes to level up. Two reward traits that help are Morning Sim and Night Owl.

That officially wraps up the Strangerville Mystery! We will remain in Strangerville until Aldo reaches level 10 the Military career. He will stay at level 10 for about a Sim week, then we will be moving to "The Shipping Views" in Port Promise, Evergreen Harbor. From there we will be going through the Civil Designer career. I'm super excited and glad Aldo defeated the Mother!
