Rags to Riches: Mansion Baron Part One

Happy November everyone! Today we are visiting Camila and her kitties in scenic Brindleton Bay. If you missed any Camila posts, she finished her Fabulously Wealthy aspiration and has decided to take on the Mansion Baron one next. So far she is doing great!

Camila wanted to tell Shadow and Chester a really cool story about cars and planes. Shadow learned she loves sitting on the robot vacuum. Apparently Sim cats like them as much as real cats.

Camila is back to painting. She is glad that one aspiration is done, but she's ready to get back to the money making grind.

Camila wanted each of the guest bedrooms to have a theme. She chose movies for the one next to the staircase, so she bought a few movie posters to hang up. She may change the color scheme soon.

Here is another view of the "Movie Bedroom." She loves how it turned out!

She chose art for the other guest bedroom. So far she's been too busy painting pictures to sell, so she is waiting to redo this room with her own artwork.

Since Camila decided to make her home lot a Cat Hangout, stray cats have come and gone as they please. This stray, Jerry, loved to watch the walls rather than the windows.

Yes, Clement Frost still hasn't left Camila's house. It's frustrating. I also didn't realize cats could ride the robot vacuums like real-life cats can. This is one of the strays wanting to take a ride, but it's not time for that one to run.

Camila decided to take some time to serenade Chester. She takes any chance she can get to play violin.

The next time she decided to play, which was a couple hours later, she got a crowd of cats. She wants to play in parks and bars to see if she can make any money with violin. She is Level Seven right now.

She was feeling a little loopy, so she took some medicine. I love how unique the Sim sicknesses can be. She kinda looks like a tiger with all of those stripes.

That night, Chester woke Camila up because she was feeling playful. Playing with the laser pointer is Chester's favorite activity. She loves it more than anything but food.

Also look at the cute paw print shape on the laser pointer :)

Camila was feeling really tense because of the thunderstorm outside, so she decided to try and do some yoga to relax. It did work, and she's almost Level Three in the Wellness skill.

Camila wanted to paint after her relaxing and focusing yoga session. She loves painting ships, which makes sense because she lives in Brindleton Bay.

If you look really closely, you can see an alien's face on the robot vacuum base. I never noticed that before now.

The one thing Camila really needed in her house was a gym. When she had the money to add the full second floor, a home gym was a given. She loves being able to get a good workout in without leaving her cats for too long.

That will conclude this part of Rags to Riches: Mansion Baron! She is already finished the first part of the aspiration. So far her home is valued around 150,000 Simoleons. It'll probably be more when I finish doing the 5000 Simoleons worth of landscaping. Next week we catch up with the Batistas and we'll see how close we are to Chad and Cassidy taking over the legacy.

Strangerville Part Thirteen (This post contains Strangerville Mystery spoilers!)

Last time we visited our Strangerville friends Harmony and Aldo, Harmony met the Mother Plant and tried to communicate with her. It did work but unfortunately her efforts were cut short due to her work schedule that day. Aldo is almost done his aspiration of being a Body Builder and he looks great! Both Harmony and Aldo are having a great time trying to reach the top in both branches of the Military career.

I hope everyone has a great Halloween! Be safe and I hope your costumes are amazing! :)

Aldo wanted to paint a picture for Harmony, so he did this lovely Impressionism painting. I wonder if he's hinting something? We shall see.

Aldo realized the dishwasher was broken, so he fixed it. He tries to fix things at home before Harmony notices. She's really observant.

"I never noticed how detailed this painting is," Aldo thought. "It's beautiful and captures all of Strangerville's beauty!"

Mondays are one of Harmony's days off (the other is Thursday), so she ventured to the lab to try to work on this vaccine. She didn't know how safe it was, so she wore the suit to be safe. Upon entering this part of the lab, she realized she didn't actually need it.

What's really cool is that the lab tables have this really cool reddish glow, indicating that you use them for the vaccine. They only glow when you have all the ingredients for the vaccine. You need 5 spore clusters and 1 bizarre fruit.

Harmony changed back into her everyday outfit before finding a Sim to test the serum.

She figured the bar was a nice place to start looking for a possessed Sim. Within a few minutes of arriving, she found possessed Anthony. She doesn't know him...yet.

He seemed a little offended that she threw the vaccine on him. It is an interesting way to do that. I thought it was going to be like a needle like IRL vaccines.

Uh-oh. It didn't work. Back to the drawing table, Harmony.

Harmony went back to the lab to try it again. This time she found someone right outside of the 8 Bells Bar. This is Scientist Bruno Coffman.

He seemed more offended than Anthony about this. I love Sims' reactions to things like this!

Uh-oh. That didn't work either. It does take a couple trips to get the mixture just right. It's getting late, so Harmony decided to go home and get some sleep before trying again.

After work, Aldo had to get burn off some steam. What better way than sparring with the bot? He's getting much better at it since his fitness skill is increasing.

After that he was feeling lonely while Harmony was at work. After he paid the bills (they were almost 5000 Simoleons!) he decided to chat with some friends. Robi was over for like a minute then he went home *facepalm*

That concludes this trip to Strangerville! We only have a couple parts left, then we'll be focusing on getting Harmony and Aldo to the top of the Military career! I hope everyone has a great week and see you next week on our trip to Brindleton Bay!

Not So Berry Mint Gen Part Thirteen

Can you believe we're finally at the end of the Mint Generation? It seems like last month (or even last week!) I created Mitchell and uploaded him to the Gallery!

Nina decided to make her first appearance as a ghost. I must say that white outline is nice. She had to make sure Mitchell and Ross were doing okay. They're still sad, but they'll be fine.

Mitchell and Ross wanted to get some last minute discussions in, and what better spot than the couch?

Mitchell had to have a last laugh at work by making it theme day...again. That's the downside of the Get to Work careers. Many days consist of doing the same things at least a couple days a week, if not everyday.

After he finished that, he just had to laugh maniacally. Mitchell, was that necessary? Probably not but oh well.

The next afternoon, Ross brought his potential bae over again. He seems to really like her, so we'll see what happens here.

It's Harvestfest and once again, one of the traditions was Trick or Treating. This Sim got a little spooked when they wanted a candy bar. Mitchell says "sorry not sorry"

Mitchell decided to have some friends over for a nice grand meal. He always loved hosting parties, and he got really antsy when they moved into this lovely home.

After dinner one of the guests wanted to show Ross something on her phone. Will she also be a potential girlfriend? We shall see. He does have the Serial Romantic aspiration.

"THE TIME HAS COME, MITCHELL BERRY," a voice said to Mitchell and woke him up. It is finally time for Ross to take over the family legacy! He is doing quite well. He is in the Business career, his parents left him with a good amount of money, and he has two girls he hopes to pursue romantically.

The scenery in Oasis Springs is so pretty. The clouds coming over the horizon adds so much to this picture as Grim does his stuff with Mitchell.

Well, that's one generation down, nine more to go! Honestly I don't see any other generations being this long. I plan on having no more than ten for the rest, but we'll see how it goes.

After he was done reaping, Grim decided to tour the new home. Apparently he was pressed for time when Nina died.

Well friends, that concludes the mint generation of the Not So Berry Challenge! The next part, we'll see what Ross gets into! Will both girls become his girlfriend/crush/romantic interest or is it all fluff?
