Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of The Sims release! I started playing in June 2010 when I received Sims 2 Double Deluxe as a gift. One of my earliest Sims memories was when I first started playing. I made a family (a lovely married couple and their teenage daughter). I was thirsty so I went upstairs to get a drink. I forgot to pause the game. When I came back down, less than two minutes later, everything was on fire. They couldn't afford a fire alarm, so the husband and daughter ended up dying in the fire. I definitely learned a huge lesson that day.
When did you start playing Sims? What game was your first? Are you a PC or Console Simmer? The only console Sims games I've played were Sims 1 for PS2 and Sims 2 for Nintendo DS.
Anyway, let's get into today's Batista story! On our last visit to Newcrest, Chad became a young adult and was debating what career track to enter. We may see what his decision was.
Work it Cassidy! She loves wearing activewear all the time because it's so comfortable and you can move so easily. She's currently at level 5 Fitness and it's showing! She's losing weight pretty steadily.
Chad decided to take care of the bees. I need to get better at remembering to take care of them. I wish there was a beekeeper that came out and helped with them.
Both Cassidy and Chad's Social needs were getting low, so what's better than cloudgazing? This is one of the ways they've stayed so close over the years. One of the topics they discussed was what career path Chad was going to enter. In true Batista fashion, he is going to be a Painter!
Clement Frost (aka Santa) wanted to come over. It's spring but hasn't warmed up a ton. So he's at the Batista house dressed like it's Winterfest lol
Chad is really trying to get good at Horseshoes. I'm not sure why, but he and Cassidy play all the time by themselves.
Cassidy was sore from work, so she and Chad treated themselves to massages. Chad's hands were super tense, so he got a hand massage. Painting can be tough work.
While Chad was getting his hand massage, Cassidy wanted a sport massage. This spa is on the Gallery. I forget the name of it though. The Sims community has some incredible spas :)
The next morning Chad was awake first. He was getting tired of all the cake, so he made some scrambled eggs and bacon. What a great breakfast for himself and Cassidy.
Chad had work and Cassidy didn't, so she wanted to hit the gym. It's great being able to workout in your own basement, but it's so different working out in a gym.
I think Cassidy is addicted to working out. Not long after she got home, she did some boxing. She is getting really good. She's currently level 6 in Fitness.
Both Alec and Jordan decided to haunt things on the same night. So what do they do? Jump into the shower and tub in the main level bathroom. I hate that ghosts break EVERYTHING. Chad and Cassidy wake up at least every other day to broken plumbing and such. Is there a way to stop this? I like having the ghosts around the house, but breaking everything gets old.
Alec is in the living room while Jordan tries to clean up the mess they made from breaking the tub and shower.
Chad woke up and must have scared Alec. So he tries to hide in the floor. This game is great lol
One of the promotion tasks for Cassidy is reaching level 5 Charisma. Since she's level 4, she practices her speech on her day off.
After work Cassidy noticed the money tree was starting to get weeds and bugs. She took care of that before Chad got home.
That will wrap up today's visit to Newcrest! For Cassidy's next promotion she will choose between being a Bodybuilder and being a Professional Athlete. Which will we she choose? We shall see next time :)
