This is my 50th Sims post here! Thank you so much for reading these stories and hopefully you're enjoying them!
On our last visit to Strangerville, Scientist Robi Temple helped Harmony assemble her Hazmat suit. She trekked down to the deepest part of the Secret Lab and was about to approach the Mother. Also, if you have any questions or feedback about the mystery, feel free to let me know! I did this with another Sim in another save and when I finished the mystery, I still had a few questions. We'll discuss them when I finish it in this save. I may have missed some things last time.
For all inquiring minds, the Mother is not a Sim, but a PLANT?! I was really shocked at first too. But I'm not entirely surprised. The Mother plant had a lot of bizarre baby plants scattered throughout Strangerville.
Here is what the Mother looks like from Harmony's POV. She tried to talk to the Mother and it went mostly well. Your Sim starts out with their relationship all the way red. From there you can either try to communicate or taunt her, making her even more mad. Harmony is a Sim of reason, so she tried to communicate. It takes a lot of talking to get the relationship closer to the green.
Unfortunately Harmony couldn't stay too long because she had to work. She figured she can always come back on her next off day and do some more thorough research and things.
Meanwhile, Aldo is playing some Blicblock after a hard day at work. Sometimes I wish you knew what Sims did at work instead of the notification saying "___ did great/bad/okay work today!"
After that he was still pretty tense. "What better way to release some stress than yoga?" Aldo thought to himself. Woohooing may also work, but Harmony wasn't there to try it and their romance bar isn't that far ><
When Harmony got home, she wanted to get a quick workout in before bed. She loves late night/early morning workouts. She says they're the least stressful because you can easily plan your whole day around your workout. She's definitely not wrong.
Part of the Infection Vaccine process is finding spore clusters. I'm glad Harmony decided to keep hers just in case. She has to find 5 for each dose of the vaccine. She also discovered that the clusters are best found closest to the Bizarre Plants.
"I wonder what happens when I pick a bizarre fruit," Harmony wondered. She picked the fruit and this happened. It takes a Sim day for the bizarre plant to grow more harvestable fruit, same as the other plants.
Harmony had to go to work, so Aldo took over the story for a bit :) All he needs to do to finish his Bodybuilder aspiration is max the Fitness skill. He is currently level 7.
When he was done his run, he wanted to Troll Teh Forums and chat with a friend.
When he finished his dinner, Aldo discovered the vines in the kitchen sink. He's been pushing Harmony to solve this mystery so he can stop feeling paranoid about these plants.
He washed his plate and realized the downstairs toilet had them too! "Ugh, Harmony! Clean this up before you leave!" he said trying not to get too upset.
When Harmony got home from work, she went straight into finding more spore clusters. This device has been super handy. She plans on visiting the lab on her next day off to find some more and try to get that vaccine perfected.
When the device's battery died, she decided it was dinner time. Working nightshift has really thrown Harmony off. She was always an early bird growing up.
She went upstairs to see how bad the vines were. "This is getting out of hand," Harmony thought, "I really need to get this solved so this will stop! Plus that will get Aldo off my back about this."
It's Sunday, so Aldo decided to work on his Charisma skill. He's currently level 2 and needs level 4 to get promoted. He loves practicing his speeches, but not with those vines in the plumbing. They were more distracting, but he practiced anyway. He wants to woo Harmony with his charisma.
Harmony is getting closer to solving the mystery! We should only have a couple parts left before it's done! What should their next adventure be when they reach the top of the Military career?
That wraps up this trip to the desert! There are only a couple parts left of the Strangerville Mystery! I'm really excited to almost be done and move on to Harmony and Aldo's next adventure! I don't have Dine Out yet, but I plan to before they make it to the top of the Military career! I really want them to run a Diner in Strangerville! :)
